The Basics About Me
I was born on 31 October 2000 in the Gambia. At the age of 6 I was adopted by my Dutch family and moved to the Netherlands. Here I grew up and started to do sports, which led me to having the dream to be a professional athlete.
Education
I attended Navarro College in the United States as a freshman. But sadly couldn’t finish due to covid.
Received my Sport-and Event management diploma in 2021. And in 2023 I finished my Personal Trainer A.
Club Career
My career started at BSV Limburgia in Brunssum. Here I started to play with the girls U13. Later on the team fell apart and I moved to Tuddern (SC Selfkant now) in Germany. Here i played 2 seasons with the girls U15. Then i moved back to BSV again, but this time to play for the boys U15-2 team. We won the league and the year after I had to move to the U17 teams. I managed to get in the boys U17-1 team and basically started all games. I played with the boys until the U19-1. That year we also won the league. At the age of 18 I decided it was time for me to chase my dreams, and left for an adventure to the United States, where I would study and play for the Navarro College Bulldogs.
Over the years I have played for KRC Genk, Sporting du Charleroi, for Icelandic side FH, helping the club win the league. Also for FC Sion, ALG Spor and FC Riga. More about those clubs you can find in my CV.
International Career
In 2023, I was called up to the Gambia women's national football team for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations qualification. We played a two-legged game against Namibia.
Style Of Play
Stevelmans has been described as a "versatile player who is mainly active in midfield".
